Ongoing Projects

Finances and Project Application

How is the AG Nachhaltigkeit financed?

The AG Nachhaltigkeit is financed mainly through funds from skuba and the Sustainability Office of the University. Specific projects also benefit from sponsors.

How are funds allocated?

The funds of the AG Nachhaltigkeit are managed by its Board. Find more information about the Board here

The AG Nachhaltigkeit uses its funds to finance community as well as project based expenses. Community based expenses are for example: pizza for pizza night, website hosting costs, AG Nachhaltigkeit stickers, posters for semester start events, etc..

Some projects like the Sustainability Week Basel are self-financing, mainly through funds from sponsors. The sponsors of the Sustainability Week are displayed on the flyer.

The Board of the AG Nachhaltigkeit can approve a budget of up to CHF 1000.- per project. Projects which fulfill the criteria outlined in the document “Guidelines for Project Funding” and have filled out the document “Project Application” are considered by the Board for funding. If the AG Nachhaltigkeit’s budget allows for it and the applicants can satisfactorily demonstrate why more funds are needed for their project, the Board can exceptionally approve a higher budget. The same applies for long-lasting projects which are in need of further funds to continue their work.

You also gain access to the AG Nachhaltigkeit network. This comprises contact persons of the university as well as external organizations and partners, depending on what is needed for your specific project. Sponsorship in kind is also possible through the AG Nachhaltigkeit. Furthermore, you will be able to use the university premises to host meetings and events.
